School Support Staff / Classroom Attendant

Work alongside teachers to prepare learning spaces and support children through the everyday rhythms of school.

Designated Operations In-charge; classroom work coordinated by teachers

ROLE PURPOSE

Work with purpose.

Support children’s daily routines and help classrooms operate smoothly, while preserving each child’s safety and dignity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

What the role will shape

  • Child assistance: help younger students with belongings, meals, hygiene and toilet routines respectfully.
  • Classroom readiness: arrange materials and prepare spaces for lessons and activities.
  • Safe movement: assist with supervised transitions, dispersal and school events.
  • Teacher support: help with practical classroom arrangements under teacher direction.
  • Hygiene: follow handwashing, cleaning and illness-reporting procedures.
  • Concern reporting: promptly report injuries, distress, hazards or unusual incidents.

Experience & qualifications

  • Graduate qualification.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
