School Bus Attendant / Conductor

ROLE PURPOSE

Work with purpose.

Supervise children throughout the journey and support safe boarding, travel and handover to authorised adults.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

What the role will shape

  • Student accountability: check student lists during boarding and drop-off.
  • Safe boarding: assist children at stops and supervise entry and exit.
  • Journey supervision: help children remain safely seated and guide behaviour respectfully.
  • Child support: respond to illness or distress and alert the school promptly.
  • Authorised handover: verify the receiving adult according to school instructions.
  • Final vehicle check: inspect the entire vehicle after each trip so no child or belongings remain.
  • Incident reporting: promptly record delays, injuries, behaviour concerns and handover issues.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

  • Reliable communication with the driver, families and school team.

Experience & qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
