ROLE PURPOSE

Work with purpose.

Build strong academic foundations and support each child’s confidence, independence and development through engaging, age-appropriate classroom learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

What the role will shape

• Lesson delivery: prepare and teach structured, engaging lessons using practical and activity-based methods.
• Foundational learning: develop reading, writing, comprehension, numeracy and communication skills.
• Student assessment: maintain baseline assessments, learning records and timely progress reports.
• Individual support: identify learning gaps and provide planned reinforcement or enrichment.
• Classroom management: establish positive routines and guide behaviour calmly and respectfully.
• Content preparation: create accurate lesson plans, worksheets, teaching aids and assessments.
• Parent communication: share balanced progress updates and follow through on agreed actions.
• Student wellbeing: supervise students, notice concerns and report incidents promptly.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience & qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification and B.Ed.
• TET qualified.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.
