ROLE PURPOSE

Work with purpose.

Develop musical awareness, listening, expression and performance confidence through shared music-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

What the role will shape

• Music foundations: teach rhythm, pitch, listening, singing and introductory instruments.
• Lesson planning: prepare structured activities appropriate for primary-age children.
• Participation: give every child opportunities to explore music and perform.
• School programmes: prepare songs and musical presentations for assemblies and events.
• Instrument care: maintain equipment and teach children safe handling.
• Progress tracking: record participation, skills developed and areas for encouragement.
